Welcome, I am Charmaine Kallen-Nelson, let me tell you a little bit about myself…
I currently reside in Taber, AB. That’s right, home of the infamous Taber corn and Rogers Sugar. I haven’t always lived in Taber, but have grown up in a small town setting as “home” is only 30km away in Vauxhall, AB. My husband Eyrin and I have lived in Taber for 4 years now. I have numerous jobs but first and foremost takes the title “Mom”. I have two beautiful children, Alexandra, age 7, and Austan, age 15 months. I enjoy being at home for my family; however, I also keep an active part in my community. I have been a member and volunteer with the Vauxhall Ducks Unlimited Chapter for 13 years. I have many interests and leisure pursuits; slow pitch, golf, music, travel but I have to say that spending time in the great outdoors is my favorite. I love camping, hiking, hunting, & fishing. I have a great passion for wildlife and their habitat, and will continue to do my part to keep it thriving. I am also a gymnastics coach with the Taber Gymnastics Fitness Club, as I was a gymnast when I was young – this keeps the memories alive. I really enjoy being in the gym working with the youth, they have such exuberance for life! As well I volunteer my time as the Vice President of the Board of Directors with the gym Club. If there is a moment to spare I love to spend it in the presence of my family and close friends – they truly mean the world to me – thanks for all your support!
At a career glance now… I have been in the mortgage industry for 3 years, starting as an assistant, and after 9 months obtained my license to be an associate. I have a background in accounting so working with numbers is something I am keen about. However, working with just numbers wasn’t enough for me as I also love being helpful and working with people. I have an energetic and enthusiastic personality that needs to mingle! So when the mortgage industry opportunity knocked on my door, I answered! My goal is to help my clients achieve their financial goals as well as own their home. I will work with them not only to help them understand their mortgage but to ensure that it is a mortgage that is suited to their personal situation. I will not only assist my clients in obtaining a mortgage but will also educate them on how to pay off that mortgage quickly, build equity, and become debt free! I work efficiently and quickly, I am honest, trustworthy, and professional holding my clients with the highest regard for their best interest. Plus the best part…my services are free! (OAC).
