Hi, my name is Debbie Thomas. I moved to Calgary with my family at the age of 12 from Ottawa, so technically, Calgary is my real home. After my two sons left the nest a couple of years ago, my husband (Joe) and I moved to Lethbridge. I love it here – no rush hour!
I have been an entrepreneur for the past 8 years, starting with a bookkeeping business that served 35 clients in Calgary, Airdrie and eventually Lethbridge. I have also had the opportunity to write and market my book “For Men’s Eyes Only – The Ultimate Guide for the Romantically Challenged”. That was a lot of fun and believe it or not, a lot of women buy that book!
I started in the mortgage industry as a mortgage assistant in Airdrie and was instantly hooked. I really enjoy this industry and helping people get into their dream homes. Southern Alberta has great potential and is still growing strong.
My goal is to educate consumers about the advantages of working with a mortgage associate, mortgage types, and the mortgage process; but more importantly teach them how to pay off that mortgage more efficiently. It’s great to get a mortgage, but it’s better to own your home.
